Red Ripper

1970 Yamaha AT1 125 Found this beauty on Marketplace. It doesn’t seem like it was completely abused, but time consumes everything, and it’ll need plenty of work to bring it back to its original glory. It’s an interesting little bike, using the generator as both the charging system and the electric starter. I’m looking forward to bringing this one back to its original glory.

The bad news is it feels a little gravelly. It’s too early to say for certain, but my first suspicion is the crank bearings. If that’s the case, this project could get a lot more interesting. I’ll know more once I get into it.
